Zanu youths in Harare’s Kuwadzana constituency have been challenged to register to vote so that the party retains the seat in the 2018 general elections.

National Assembly member for the constituency Cde Betty Kaseke told ZBC News on the sidelines of the prize giving ceremony for the Miss Kuwadzana Pageant winners that by encouraging the youth to register to vote they want to retain the seat come 2018.

Cde Kaseke also said it is ideal to empower youths through participation in activities that make them stay away from drug and substance abuse.

The youths who participated in the Miss Kuwadzana Pageant and Kuwadzana Carnival got cash prices with the winner of the beauty pageant Melissa Banda walking away with US$1500.

The First Princess was given US$750 while the Second Princess pocketed US$700.
