The Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) yesterday celebrated its 500 years of existence as a church as it seeks to spread the word of God world over.
Chairperson of Hatcliffe Presybytery Rangano Huru, Reverend Jude Mashamba said the RCZ pulled out from the Roman Catholic Church to preach the true religion.
Reverend Simbarashe Munamati, lecturer at Murray Theological College Morginster also said evangelists started to preach the word of God in the Macabre area in Masvingo where a school for the deaf to assist those in need has been built.
Speaking on the same occasion, Dr Enock Mayida RCZ synod secretary said the church has more than 95 congregations in the country, one in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
The celebrations where graced by glorious songs from the praise and worship and was running under the theme, “Keeping the Reformed Faith in the Midlist of Heretic Theologies”.
