Qadr Amini capped off a successful year by being voted Ngezi Platinum Stars Player of the Year at the club’s end of year awards ceremony held in Mhondoro yesterday.

Amini was rewarded for top performances in the 2017 domestic premiership, which saw him chip in with some important goals while not abandoning his defensive duties.

The left back turned attacker was delighted upon the recognition but acknowledged the important role of team work.

Tichaona Mabvura landed the Players Player of the Year and Most Improved Player accolades.

Terrence Dzukamanja scooped the club’s Golden Boot Award with Clive Augusto landing the Rookie of the Year accolade.

Ngezi Platinum Stars President, Stanley Segula was pleased by the club’s ability to meet their top four target and pointed to a desire to sign more players in the off season for the club fight for top honours in 2018. 

The awards ceremony also saw Simbarashe Domingo landing the Under-19 Player of the Year accolade, while Godknows Murwira was voted the Most Disciplined Player.

Popular fan, Nicholas Mandizha landed the presidential award for the Supporter of the Year.
