Zanu PF has taken its campaign trail to Chiredzi with the party’s Second Secretary, who is also the Vice President, Cde Kembo Mohadi urging party members to put their differences aside and work towards one goal of ensuring resounding victory come July 30.
With less than two months before the country takes to the polls to choose their leaders, the Zanu PF party says its members and aspiring candidates should remember that the elections are not about individuals securing votes.
Cde Mohadi who was addressing party supporters in Chiredzi called for oneness and unity of purpose, highlighting that this is critical in ensuring resounding victory for the revolutionary party.
“The time has come for people to vote. It`s no longer about individuals but it’s now about prioritising the party as a whole. The quarrels and differences let’s set them aside,” said Cde Mohadi.
Cde Mohadi said those calling the current leadership junta government seem to have their own definition of what junta means.
Said Cde Mohadi: “Vese vezera rangu vakaenda kuhondo havasisipo, kwasara isu vaka trainer. Imhosva here kuti titungamire? Mozoti tiri junta , if your definition means wese aka trainer ijunta then fair and fine even ku Britian it means that’s how it is because mwana wa king anofanira kuenda kuno trainer ku navy asati ave king . Can we call that a junta? Ngatizivei zvekutaura.”
Focusing on the country’s economic affairs, Cde Mohadi said the government wants to work to ensure that by 2030, the country has a middle class economy.
