It is back to school for students as the third term opens tomorrow.
Most students attending boarding schools dotted around the country were today making their way back to their various centres.
However for many parents who were accompanying their children, the story was all about the usual financial burden they encounter during preparations for any new term.
“It was difficult but we thank God that we have managed to send back our children to school,” said one parent in Harare.
The pupils promised to go and give their best shot come examinations time in October and November as an appreciation to their parents sacrifice.
“We appreciate our parents and as such, we promise to bring home better results home. This is the end of the term and some of us, it is our final term,” said one pupil.
Meanwhile, some parents are appealing to the government to intervene and reduce school fees which they say are too high and leave them with nothing to feed the remaining children.
