The establishment of the psychomotor education and skills development by government is now at an advanced stage with expectations the blueprint will provide a framework for use by ministries and departments that offer technical and vocational education.

Deputy chief secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Dr Ray Ndhlukula said reviewing the status of technical and vocational education will provide a benchmark for government as it enhances the industrialisation policy.

He was speaking at the handover of a vehicle and laptops to the Ministry of Psychomotor Activities by UNICEF.

UNICEF representative to Zimbabwe, Dr Mohamed Ayoya highlighted the donation was motivated by the need to enhance data collection in the department of psychomotor activities.

The Department of Psychomotor activities was created in 2013 by President Robert Mugabe to enhance industrialisation following his tenure as African Union chairman.
