The Premier Soccer League (PSL) says 2017 fixtures will only be released after next weeks annual general meeting (AGM) in the wake of the circulation of fake league programme on social media.
PSL media and liaison officer Kudzai Bare confirmed the latest development.
Fans will be relishing the commencement of the 2017 season which Bare says is important to the PSL who are lining up a series of events as part of celebrations for the league which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The 2017 season is expected to be highly competitive with reigning league champions Caps United having beefed up their team despite a sterling season in 2016.
FC Platinum, Highlanders and Harare City are among several other sides that will be looking to challenge for honours.
