Football legends had the opportunity to roll back the years during a testimonial match for Black Rhinos founding Chairman and PSL founding member, Retired Lt. General Engelbert Rugeje, who has retired from the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) and is now Zanu PF Political Commissar.

The testimonial match, which pitted some of the yester year stars, saw Retired Lt. General Rugeje playing for both sides in each half.

The PSL Legends beat the Black Rhinos Legends 2-nil in an entertaining match played at Rufaro Stadium.

Former Dynamos defender, James Matola opened the scoring before former Caps United, Dynamos and Highlanders striker, Stewart ‘Shutto’ Murisa doubled the lead in the second half.

Retired Lt. General Rugeje was the founding chairman of the all conquering Black Rhinos team in 1983, which won the PSL title in its debut season.

He was also instrumental in the formation of the current PSL.
