With the domestic premiership faced with numerous challenges associated with professionalising the country’s most supported sport, PSL leaders, together with clubs and key stakeholders congregated for a crucial strategic workshop aimed at professionalising how the topflight league and clubs are governed.

PSL Chief Executive Officer, Kenny Ndebele was delighted by the staging of the indaba which is expected to be a pathway to better governance of the premiership.

Perennial challenges have existed in the topflight league, with issues relating to sponsorship, branding and revenue creation a cause for concern.

With all top flight clubs together with the executives present, it is hoped solutions will come out of the strategic workshop which is being conducted by former basketball administrator and Chairman of the Institute of Zimbabwe Directors, David Mutambara.
