Premier Soccer League (PSL) action returns this weekend with Dynamos and Harare City both eager to maintain positive form that saw them winning their encounters before a two week break.
Week 18 promises to produce exhilarating action following a two week break that allowed teams to re-energise and refocus for the second half of the season.
Among teams that will be hoping for a positive result this weekend is Dynamos who host Chicken Inn at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
Dynamos registered two wins before the break and Lloyd Mutasa is hoping his charges maintain the momentum when they face the Gamecocks.
“Chicken Inn is a tough team to face but the team is positive especially after those two wins before the break. The destiny of the league is really no longer in our hands but the goal is to finish as the best team in the second half of the season,” said Mutasa.
Harare City registered a convincing 3-nil win over Yadah before the two week break.
Among players that impressed in the win is Tatenda Tumba who was on target and also provided an assist.
Tumba who is enjoying his game under head coach Mark Harrison acknowledged a potentially tough encounter against Caps United on Saturday.
“I just have to thank those around me at Harare City including our coach. They are always encouraging me hence my performances also appear to be improving on the field of play. Caps United are a tough team to face but we will just try to apply what we have been focusing on at training,” he said.
In other encounters slated for Saturday, log leaders FC Platinum lock horns with ZPC Kariba as Herentals face off with Ngezi Platinum at the National Sports Stadium.
On Sunday, Black Rhinos face Highlanders with Bulawayo Chiefs and Yadah locking horns at Luveve stadium.
Triangle hosts Shabanie Mine as Chapungu clash against Bulawayo City.
Relegation threatened Mutare City host Nichrut in the weekend’s other encounter.
