Zimbabwe Law Officers Association Secretary General, Mr. Derek Charamba said the meeting held this Friday with their principals did not yield desired results, adding that the strike will continue.

Meanwhile, legal expert Mr. Ashton Musunga has urged government to urgently address the situation as the justice delivery system is being compromised.

The prosecutors went on strike on Monday this week demanding a salary increment.

The development followed salary increments for magistrates who now fall under the Judiciary Service Commission while the prosecutors are still under the Public Service Commission.

The prosecutors are demanding their employer to address salary disparities with their counterparts who hold similar qualifications.
