The nomination process to select the country’s next Prosecutor General closed today.

Deputy secretary of the Judicial Service Commission, Mr Walter Chikwana confirmed the process has closed and names of the candidates to participate in the interviews in public will be published soon.

A senior lawyer Mr Terrence Hussein said he is expecting women to be part of the process in order to address gender balance in the justice delivery system.

Other legal experts said the office must be administered by a person of integrity in order to curb corruption in the justice delivery system.
