Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) Vice Chancellor Professor Primrose Kurasha has died.
She was 58.
Professor Kurasha died last night at a local private hospital where she was admitted.
Family spokesperson Primrose who is daughter to the late ZOU Vice Chancellor says Professor Kurasha succumbed to pulmonary embolism.
Several people including government officials, friends and relatives visited the Kurasha residence at number 1 Ascot Road, Avondale West in Harare to pay their condolences.
The late ZOU Vice Chancellor is survived by her husband Professor Jemison Kurasha and two daughters, Flora and Primrose.
Meanwhile, the body of the late ZOU Vice Chancellor will be ferried from Martin Luther Church at 4pm today to the Kurasha residence in Avondale West, Harare were it will lie in state.
Tomorrow at eight in the morning, a funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of Faith in the World Ministries in Harare and Professor Primrose Kurasha will be buried at Glen Forest at 11am.
