chido mushaya.jpgZimbabweans have been urged to embark on environment preservation initiatives at community level.

The call was made by Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, 1st Princess Chido Mushaya at Kuwadzana 4 Primary School.

The beauty queen, together with Dzivarasekwa Environmental Conservation Trust, are advocating for sustainable conservation and natural resources protection through community participation.

The awareness campaign was a preparatory phase to a tree planting ceremony to be held in October.

The princess, who is working with the Ministry Of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development in a mushroom growing project recommended the setting up of nutritious gardens and orchards.

The call comes at a time when climate change is a contentious issue across the globe, with most natural disasters currently ravaging the earth being attributed to climate change.
