princetendai.jpgMusic promoter and businessman, Tendai Mupfurutsa, better known as Prince Tendai, who died on Wednesday, has been laid to rest at his family homestead in Mupfurutsa village in Magunje, Mashonaland West Province.

A number of artists including former Africa Revenge front man, Taz Moyo and Albert Nyathi gave the late musician a befitting tribute by performing an acapella version of Prince Tendai’s hit song, Character.     

Speaking at the burial ceremony, the Patron the Zimbabwe Union of Musicians, Cde Webster Shamu, who is also the Minister of Media, Information and Publicity, described the late Prince Tendai as a composer par excellence.

Minister Shamu said musicians should be celebrated and respected for their contributions in the development of the arts industry and the country at large.
