The fourth Presidential Youth Interface rally has been set for the 14th of next month at Somhlolo Stadium in Lupane.

The dates were revealed at a Zanu PF Matabeleland North youth provincial inter-district conference today.

Excitement has gripped the youths in Matabeleland North Province who have intensified preparations for the fourth Presidential Youth Interface rally.

The party`s national youth executive accompanied by their provincial counterparts began the day`s proceedings with a familiarisation tour of the proposed venue.

Zanu PF Secretary for the Youth League Cde Kudzai Chipanga advised the provincial youth executive to meet the youths in the remaining districts and get their concerns so that a report is compiled and sent to the First Secretary President Robert Mugabe, a week before the rally.

“Please ensure that you highlight your concerns. We know most youths need land but remember you can need it for residential purposes, for agricultural purposes, mining activities and so forth. So we need to think outside the box and not limit ourselves to land for residential purposes only,” said Cde Chipanga.

Zanu PF provincial youth chairman, Cde Mbongeni Dube said as Matabeleland North, they have unanimously agreed to have Cde Mugabe as a life president and called on the Women`s League and main wing to adopt a similar resolution.

“Further to that, we want to make it clear that factionalism is not welcome in this province. As the youths of Matabeleland North we want to maintain that stance and continue to shun factionalism,” he said.

The national youth executive has pledged its support during the preparations and advised all districts which are far to make necessary arrangements to spend a night in Lupane so that everyone is on time for the rally.

The province is targeting 10 000 youths in each of the seven districts, to attend the rally.
