bob-malema.jpgThe Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe, says imperialistic forces have various machinations aimed at perpetuating neo-colonialism in Africa.

President Mugabe said this when he met the African National Congress, (ANC), Youth League delegation in Harare.
He said these imperialistic forces can use other African states to fight a fellow African nation and young people should be vigilant and be wary of such forces.

President Mugabe also said the government will never backtrack in its efforts to empower the majority of Zimbabweans who have been economically marginalised for a long time.

The President of the ANC Youth League delegation Cde Julius Malema described Cde Mugabe as an outstanding statesman who is the only one with the courage to stand up against western imperialism and denounce them on any fora.

Cde Malema, reminded the youths from ANC and ZANU-PF that sovereignty of a country is premised on the control of resources by the indigenous people.

The ANC Youth League delegation which arrived in the country last Friday held a series of meeting with officials from the ZANU-PF youth league, the business community as well as senior government officials.

The youths said they have leant a lot from Zimbabwe’s economic empowerment programmes which has seen the land being redistributed to the indigenous people.

They said they will engage the ANC leadership on the nationalisation of mines so that the majority can benefit in line with what Zimbabwe has already started in the indigenisation programme.

Revolutionary parties which were under threat from the imperialistic forces are now coming together to forge strategies to strengthen and re-invigorate the liberation movements.
