President Robert Mugabe has sent a condolence message to the Mnkandla family, following the passing on of Mr Sylvester Jack Mnkandla -the Pensions Master on Wednesday this week after an illness.

On behalf of the President and indeed the whole of government, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda described the late as a highly dedicated civil servant whose 43-year span of service saw him rising to the helm of the pensions department.

He said Mr Mnkandla presided over the transformation of the department which was traditionally known for shoddy service, poor record keeping and limited accessibility to the citizenry adding that in him, the nation has lost a cadre who was indeed an embodiment of professionalism, superlative commitment to duty and integrity.

The late Pensions Master will be buried at Good Hope Farm in Lower Gweru tomorrow at 11am.
