President Emmerson Mnangagwa has cancelled his visit to Davos where he had been invited to attend the 2019 World Economic Forum (WEF).
In his tweet sent out from Astana in Kazakhstan yesterday evening, the President said he had decided not to continue the journey so that he can attend to the situation back home after a fruitful and successful visit to Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, President Mnangagwa, who is on the last leg of his four-nation visit to Eurasia, this morning met the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Mr Askar Mamin and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Yermek Kosherbayev at his hotel in Kazakhstan.
These one-on-one discussions complimented the President’s several meetings during business forums where he met over 50 company representatives in Kazakhstan.
Last night, he also met with a Kazakh businessman who is involved in platinum mining in Shurugwi.
