The President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa says collectively Zimbabweans have a mandate to fulfill, grow the economy together, and create employment for the majority of the people and to improve the standards of living for the country’s citizenry.
Addressing delegates at the Zimbabwe and Investment Conference and Expo in Harare today, President Mnangagwa urged Zimbabweans to leverage on comparative advantages Zimbabwe is endowed with.
He also said above many advantages, Zimbabwe boasts of highly skilled, professional and healthy human capital base amenable to adaptation of new technologies, training and development.
Cde Mnangagwa reminded the delegates that the government has since adjusted the 51/49 percent indigenisation threshhold saying the policy now applies only to two minerals namely diamonds and platinum.
The President also said as Zimbabwe heads for the 2018 harmonised general elections, he will soon be meeting political party leaders to deliberate and advise everybody that the country should be violence free before, during and after the elections.
