sculpture 08-09-10.jpgThe National Arts Council of Zimbabwe says preparations are on course to host the 10th edition of the annual National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) which are set for the 14th of February. 


National Arts Council Deputy Director, Mr. Nicholas Moyo says more than 500 submissions of art works in different categories have already been submitted.

“Preparations for this year’s NAMA are going on well and over 500 art works have already been forwarded,” said Mr. Moyo.

The artworks are being viewed by the 21 panel of adjudicators from the arts sector who are expected to issue preliminary results on the 19th of this month.

Winners in various categories will walk away with a coveted trophy, a certificate and price money which is yet to be announced.
