Premiership action continued on Wednesday afternoon with Highlanders and Black Mambas playing out a goalless draw in an encounter at Morris Depot stadium.
The 1st half action was a story of missed opportunities with Brighton Choto denied a goal in the 15th minute after unleashing a ferocious effort that was punched over the bar by Willard Manyatera in goals for Black Mambas.
Rahman Kutsanzira however again came close from the resultant corner kick which he headed over the bar.
Black Mambas also missed opportunities of their own with a wasteful Sebastian Mutizirwa struggling to gather composure in the box on numerous opportunities, as the game went to half time deadlocked at 1-nil all.
Second half action was a similar tale to the first , with Protasho Kabwe skying his effort in the 46th minute, while Andrew Mususa spurned a glorious opportunity of grabbing a late winner when he totally misqued his effort in a game that ended nil all.
Highlanders coach Mohammed Fathy and Black Mambas Technical Director Madinda Ndlovu, though both disappointed with the finishing, in the end had to accept the 1 point gained.
In other encounters, Moses Chunga’s Caps United continued their revival with a 1-nil victory over Douglas Warriors at Gwanzura Stadium, while Dynamos failed to capitalise on Motor Action’s draw at the weekend after they were also held to a 1-all draw by hosts Shabanie Mine at Maglas stadium.
