Farmers have been urged to utilise the current wet spell and practice conservation agriculture.

Meteorological Services (MET) Department head public weather service Mr Tichaona Zinyemba said the current rains will continue with some areas experiencing sunny conditions that might result in thunderstorms and lightning.

Agricultural expert Mr Irvine Craig told ZBC News that it is the right time for farmers to utilise the wet spell and plant all types of crops.

He also urged farmers to practice conservation agriculture.

Currently farmers are busy preparing their fields to make sure that they catch up with the planting time.
