tendai chakanyuka.jpgPower FM Djs last night treated fans to a Christmas play at Cresta Jameson Hotel in the capital aimed at raising funds for Manhinga Children’s home in Rusape.
The show is set to tour nationally.

The play which was directed by Tendai Chakanyuka with an all Power FM Dj cast, is a contemporary urban version of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The show sold out and the cast was forced to hold two shows due to the overwhelming response by fans who thronged the venue.

The play infused narratives, choreography, comedy and modern technology.

Power FM Manager Bridget Gavanga said the show also aimed at affording fans a chance to interact with the faces behind the radio voices.

She said the response was overwhelming and said the team is considering taking it national.

The cast and fans hailed the act as refreshing and worth its cause.

The epic play was graced by urban grooves sensations among them Cindy, Thembelani and Sebastian Magacha who made the score.

The $1738 raised will be forwarded to the Manhinga Children’s Home in Rusape.
