President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s consistent call for peace during the run up to the elections and beyond seems to be rubbing on with political parties able to stand side by side offering their promises and accepting that these are only political offices but Zimbabweans remain as one.

Preaching to an otherwise already converted audience Zanu PF aspiring councillor for Budiriro ward 33 Rudo Mazhandu and MDC Alliance aspiring legislator for Budiriro constituency Costa Machingauta said peace is what the community should value most despite their differences in political socialization.

The church had assumed its role to foster peace by inviting the politicians to pledge commitment to observe it in Budiriro.

It’s a message that President Mnangagwa has hammered upon everytime citing peace must be the foundational pillar of the new Zimbabwe.
