Speaking to ZBC News after the meeting, Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Rugare Gumbo said the so-called wikileaks will not divide the party as it has a revolutionary history which has the capacity to fight all tactics of divide and rule by its enemies.
He also said the meeting was putting final touches on the theme of the Bulawayo conference and expressed hope that by weekend the party will have announced it.   Â
“We discussed the theme and we are meeting again tomorrow to polish it up,” Cde Gumbo said.
Cde Gumbo said the Politburo got an update from COPAC Co-chairperson, Cde Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana on the latest developments regarding the constitution making process which is now at the drafting stage.
Cde Mangwana said the constitution- making process could be finished by the end of this month.
Cde Gumbo said the meeting also heard from the Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere who spoke on the matrix of indigenisation, especially in the mining sector.
“We were also briefed by Minister Kasukuwere on the implementation of the indigenisation policy.
“He said there is going to be a community fund in every mining area so that members of the community can be involved in the process.
“Secondly, there is going to be a workers shareholding structure to enable workers at a particular mine to have a shareholding of some sort at that company,” Cde Gumbo said.
This will constitute 51% of any mining venture in Zimbabwe.
