An extraordinary Zanu PF Politburo session was held at the party head quarters this Thursday (today).

The extraordinary Politburo session was dedicated to only two issues as the party prepares to go to the polls in a few months time.

Top of the agenda was the party’s manifesto where the ruling party will outline what it will do for the betterment of the people and the country.

Second on the agenda was the party regalia issue.

Both items were presented by the National Chairperson Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri after the President and First Secretary Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa’s opening remarks.

The ruling party is gearing up and preparing for the polls which for the first time will be polling station based.

President Mnangagwa has said all observers are welcome and that Zimbabwe has nothing to hide.

While addressing a rally in Mashonaland Central yesterday, the Cde Mnangagwa hinted that he would appoint a new Politburo member to work hand in hand with Rtd Air Chief Marshal Perrence Shiri in the province.

The media was yet to be informed when it was asked to leave the venue earlier in the day.
