The Zimbabwe Republic Police has underscored its commitment to fulfill its constitutional mandate and to ensure that the country’s top leadership and diplomatic communities are well protected.

The Police Protection Unit (PPU) during the re-launch of their client service charter in Harare today called for close collaboration between the police and public in fighting crime.

Officer Commanding PPU province Senior Assistant Commissioner Lee Muchemwa noted that the PPU is determined to remain customer focused.

Democratic Republic of Congo Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mawampanga Mwanananga who was a client representative during the re-launch commended the PPU on their capability to protect and secure the diplomatic community.

The re-launch of the client service charter is meant to enhance standards of the PPU service delivery fulfilling their vision to be the leading police service provider in the world by the year 2020.
