Police say the officers involved in the clash with Shamva residents which resulted in the death of one person will be transferred while the matter will be treated as criminal.
Seven other people were injured after police allegedly attacked residents of Shamva Mine in search of a thief.
The suspected thief is said to have stolen a wallet from the officer-in-chargeâ€™s wife.
Meanwhile the countryâ€™s involvement in international peacekeeping missions continues, wih ZRP welcoming back four contingents of 29 officers from a tour of duty in South Sudan and Liberia under the banner of the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
The ZRP has been sending officers to such countries as Sudan, East Timor, Liberia and Kosovo.
