handcuffs.jpgPolice in Bulawayo have arrested three suspected armed robbers who are believed to have shot and killed Chief Superintendent Lawrence Chatikobo last month.

 

Investigations have so far indicated that one of the three arrested suspected armed robbers is believed to be a Zimbabwe National Army deserter.

 

Police Chief Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Wayne Bvudzijena said the net is closing in on the other members of the gang, adding that the arrested three are believed to have committed several other armed robberies in Bulawayo.

 

Following the murder of Chief Superintendent Chatikobo, the Zimbabwe Defence Forces has pledged to co-operate with the police to ensure that the country retains its status as a low crime rate nation.
