Poets from various parts of the country kick started the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) Easter road campaigns with performances in Masvingo.

As has been the norm over the years the TSCZ takes off to the roads during Easter.

The message has always been about travelling safely to avert any accidents when most people travel for the holidays.

This year poets met in Masvingo where they performed to raise awareness on Easter road safety.

TSCZ spokesperson Mr Tatenda Chinoda says it is important to use different methods to raise awareness on reducing accidents and saving lives.

The Easter holiday records more traffic on the country’s roads as people travel to their rural homes, holiday destinations or for church gatherings.
