Mashonaland East Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri says every stakeholder has a role to play in the successful implementation of the government’s economic and developmental programmes.
Addressing stakeholders from various sectors in his province, Retired Brigadier General Mutinhiri said it is the duty of every stakeholder to ensure that they take up the government’s developmental policies and expressed concern over failure by some members of parliament from the province to attend some government fora to discuss some of the issues.
Chief Chikwaka from Goromonzi district also accused some legislators of not working in the interest of government programmes.
Defence Minister, Dr Sydney Sekeramayi who is also Mashonaland East senator said there is need to pull in one direction to achieve success.
The meeting brought together stakeholders from Marondera, Goromonzi, Manyame, Wedza and Chikomba districts.
