Peter House boys and girls dominance in the local schools squash league continued after the Marondera-based School came out tops in 2011.

In the First League, Peter House finished first ahead of St Georges and Prince Edward High School who were second and third respectively.

Peter House’s dominance spilled into the 2nd League where Peter House “B” claimed pole position.

Peter House “C” was second with St John’s College ending third.

Chairman of the Zimbabwe Schools League, Michael Chingwaru expressed satisfaction with the level of competition exhibited in the year 2011 and highlighted the sport was growing and spreading to other schools.

With squash not contributing much to the country’s glory on the sporting front in recent years, it is hoped tapping into school talent will help stimulate the growth of the sport.
