The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) in Mashonaland East Province says it is impressed by the behaviour change expressed by stakeholders in the province following the launch of the national clean-up campaign by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in December.

This comes as the government has declared every first Friday of each month, a clean-up day.

“It appears the national clean-up programme launched by President Mnangagwa is starting to show positive results,” said Juliet Mavhu, the EMA Manager for Mashonaland East Province.

Yesterday’s clean-up campaign saw various government departments taking part in the programme.

In Manyame Rural District, the stakeholders held the campaign at Chikwanha business centre that was also attended by legislator, Tatenda Mavetera and council CEO, Farirayi Guta.
