pensions strike in u.k.jpgAbout 2 million public sector workers are staging a more than 1 000 people demostration over pensions across the United Kingdom.

The 24-hour strike comes as unions object to government plans to make members pay more and work longer to earn their pensions.

Chancellor George Osborne has called for more talks, saying striking will only make the country’s economy weaker and  will potentially cost jobs.

The strike is expected to disrupt courts, job centres, driving tests and council services, such as libraries, community centres and refuse collections.
