pathfinder.jpgA local bus company, Pathfinder Luxury Coaches has dismissed reports in some sections of the local press which has alleged that the company was elbowed off from the tender to ferry the Brazilian national team by Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Cde Walter Mzembi.

Pathfinder Luxury Coaches Public Relations Manager, Mr.  Isheanesu Chikoto poured cold water on reports in the Financial Gazette, which alleged that Minister Mzembi acquired the tender through political powers.

Speaking to ZBC News, Chikoto said the story is unfounded and incorrect as his company never won or put a bid for any tender to ferry the Brazilians.

“As Pathfinder, we are very surprised and very disturbed by the incorrect information published in your newspaper.

“We never won any tender or bided for any, and we were not involved in anyway with the Brazilian national team transportation,” said Mr Chikoto in a letter he sent to the Editor of the Financial Gazette.

Pathfinder is also understood to have requested the paper to withdraw its statement in its next publication.

The story had alleged that Minister Mzembi had elbowed out Pathfinder Luxury Coaches who had won the tender and had awarded the tender to his own bus company.
