Scores of people thronged Warren Hills Cemetery to celebrate the life of a veteran evangelist, whom many believe has fought a good fight in the spiritual arena.

Family representatives; David Chiweshe and Talent Chiweshe were yet to come to terms with the sudden departure of Pastor Chiweshe who died whilst having a prayer in preparation for a crusade that was scheduled for this week in Mabelreign Harare.

President of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM), Dr Aspher Madziyire said the life of Evangelist Chiweshe should give inspiration to the current crop of pastors to focus on the gospel of the cross.

Evangelist Phanuel Chiweshe (65) graduated from Bible School in 1984 and took up church ministry in Chitungwiza the following year.

Since then he has held numerous crusades across the country where he preached calling for repentance.
