Women have been implored to actively participate in economic and community development by designing and implementing various empowerment initiatives.

Despite the social and cultural norms that disadvantage women and lower their socio-economic status, women strive to make their mark in the world through various contributions towards a strong and vibrant society.

Speaking on the sidelines of a humanitarian award press conference for Zimwana World Wide Founder, Pastor Rumbidzai Judith Kamba, who has managed to establish a school in Caledonia for over 500 orphans and vulnerable children, President and founder of Rock the Business Hub, Pastor Abigail Magwenzi urged women to participate in community development.

Each day women juggle things around and struggle to maintain a good balance on the conflicting demands on their time at home, work and community at large.

The awards which are meant to recognise, encourage and celebrate women’s participation in national development will be held this Saturday.
