Zimbabwe’s parliament says it is committed to partner the business community in developmental projects that seek to promote economic development.
The Institute of Administration and Commerce (IAC) graduation held in the capital on Friday (today) provided a platform towards the role of industry and commerce in promoting economic growth.
While the business community continues to work with the government, the need to ensure that it also complies with the terms and dictates of the national constitution was also under the spotlight.
Speaker of the national assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda who was the guest of honour said it is high time industry should also embrace parliamentary activities in upholding the constitution.
“More can still be done to tap and unlock growth opportunities that have a positive effect in fostering development,” said Advocate Mudenda.
The IAC has also reaffirmed its commitment to work with the government on macro-economic policy formulation including the national budgets and monetary policies.
