chitwn.jpgParents have been called upon to support children’s participation in the Junior Council as it accords them a chance to build up their careers and become capable leaders.
The call was made by Chitungwiza Junior Mayor, Tinashe Guchutu at an occasion to mark the 12th Anniversary of  the Chitungwiza Junior Council.

Guchutu urged parents to give maximum support to their children who  participate in Junior Council activities which he said is a way of building their careers as responsible individuals in society.

Guchutu said, “We took this opportunity to clear the misconception that our parents have about the Junior Council being a political thing, but to show them that we are taught to take responsibility not as political leaders but general leaders of tomorrow.”
Parents who attended the occasion called on the junior councilors to be shining examples of good behavior in society since they have become role models.
Among the Chitungwiza junior council‘s achievements is helping in the development of the Maunganidze Kindhearted Children’s home which is currently housing 19 orphans.
