More than 100 international, regional and local authors are expected to participate at this year’s edition of the Zimbabwe International Book Fair (ZIBF).

Last year, more than 2 500 people across the globe including writers and publishers attended the 33rd edition of the ZIBF that was held in Harare.

This year’s edition scheduled for the 31st of this month will see a huge turn out from exhibitors and the general public as compared to previous fairs.

Speaking to the ZBC News this Monday, ZIBF Association Executive Chair, Blazio Tafireyi said the fair will start with an indaba which will provide an interface for the reader and publisher.

ZIBF Association Board Vice Chairman, Jasper Maenzanise explained that the fair will benefit professionals, teachers and the general public.

The fair will run from the 31st of July to the 5th of August running under the theme: ‘Making the Book Pay,’ and will focus on self development for both the reader and writer.
