barak obama.jpgA new poll has revealed a drop in United States President, Barack Obama’s approval ratings to 41% despite improving jobs creation.

The survey, carried out by the New York Times newspaper and CBS News TV Channel, show Obama’s approval rating has plunged, nine percent down from the 50% threshold, which a sitting president generally needs to win a re-election.

With 47% of respondents disapproving Obama’s overall performance, the poll results have cast doubt on his prospects for the upcoming November presidential election.

An earlier poll conducted by the Washington Post newspaper in conjunction with ABC News Network also registered a drop in Obama’s approval rating.
