Zimbabwean choral ensemble ‘Note to Note’ scooped two silver medals at the World Choir Games held in Tshwane, South Africa.
The first ever Zimbabwean choir to participate at the world’s largest choral competition, Note to Note scooped silver medals in the Championship Mixed Choirs and Championship Scenic Folklore categories at the World Choir Games.
The choir games also known as the Choir Olympics were held in Tshwane, South Africa where more than 300 choirs from across the globe participated and among them the Note to Note choir which only managed to go at the last minute.
Note to Note Public Relations Manager Nonkululeko Dube said the ensemble is yet to receive their price and medals as they still owe affiliation fee to the Interkultur Foundation organisers of the World Choir competition.
The World Choir Games are held once in two years and the next contest will be held in 2020 in Belgium.
