Zanu PF says Norton will soon be transformed into a better town with its richness in minerals and agriculture resources to become one of the country’s special economic zones.
Zanu PF urged the electorate should vote for President Emmerson Mnangagwa to fulfil his vision of transforming Norton into a world class town by making it become one of the special economic zones in the country.
In an interview with the ZBC News on the sidelines of a Zanu PF rally, the party’s candidate for Norton constituency, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa said the lives of the people in Norton will greatly improve in the small town when they vote for President Mnangagwa who has a vision to lead the country to prosperity.
“We want to make sure that the people of Norton benefit from the abundance of mineral resources and agriculture,” he said.
Minister of State for Manicaland Province, Cde Monica Mutsvangwa noted that Zanu PF is a party that respects the people and is ready to deliver when voted into power.
“We respect our President who is correcting all the mistakes made by the former president,” said Senator Mutsvangwa.
Cde Langton Mutendereki who stepped down to pave way for Cde Mutsvangwa to represent the area in the Zanu PF primary elections re-run, refuted the allegations that he was offered money to step down.
Chegutu Central Senator Cde Bybit Tsomondo also appealed for unity among the people in the constituency.
Currently Norton constituency is being led by an independent candidate who faces Cde Mutsvangwa in the forthcoming harmonised elections.
