Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) CEO, Anna Mguni says nomination papers for the ZOC elections continue to pour in but are set to close at midnight this Wedneday.

The ZOC elections will be held on the 30th of this month although some aspiring candidates are crying foul over the issue of voting rights of the outgoing executive committee members.

Several candidates have filed their nomination papers for the elections to be held at Prince Edward School in Harare.

Mguni said the ZOC General Assembly will have the final say on the elections and process.

She dismissed claims of electoral flaws, saying everything is clearly laid out in the constitution to ensure good corporate governance in line with International Olympic Committee (IOC) standards and requirements.

ZOC sent out a notice of the elections on the 22nd of March, paving way for the nomination process which closes this Wednesday.
