Zanu(PF) National Chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo says his party will not tolerate the imposition of candidates in the next elections adding that people must be free to choose their representatives.
Cde Moyo was speaking at the partyâ€™s Bulawayo Provincial Conference held at Davies Hall, where the province endorsed the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe, as the partyâ€™s candidate for next yearâ€™s elections.
He spoke against corruption and greed by some political leaders and government officials, saying this must be put to an end.
Cde Moyo challenged Zanu(PF) leaders to stop imposing their ideas on party members saying this is time to start listening to peopleâ€™s views.
The Zanu(PF) National Chairman reiterated the fact that the party must continue to strengthen its grassroots structure in preparation for next yearâ€™s elections.
In pronouncing the partyâ€™s resolution during the conference, provincial Political Commissar, Cde Silas Dlomo said Bulawayo is confident of the leadership qualities of President Mugabe.
