Guest of Honour at the conference, Cde Webster Shamu, who is the Zanu PF National Political Commissar said the will of the people should prevail when choosing leaders, adding that no one should use their financial muscle to land top post without going through the proper process.

He called on the province to base its programmes of action on party resolutions and warned that those who are already campaigning as party representatives in certain constituencies may be disqualified as the party is yet to set election campaign guidelines.

Meanwhile, the conference deferred elections to fill vacant posts within the provincial executive main body and the Women‘s League Chairperson’s post to a date yet to be advised.
