Addressing scores of party supporters at a rally hosted by the Godwills Masimirebwa Foundation in Tafara, Zanu PF Central Committee members took a swipe at aspiring candidates who want to use unorthodox means for political mileage, saying such conduct will not be tolerated.
“We will not tolerate any imposition of candidates and as leadership, we will follow the right channels in choosing the candidates who have grassroot support,” said Cde Borniface Karoro.
Cde Godwills Masimirebwa said his Trust promotes Zanu PF ideologies and policies such as the indigenisation drive which recently saw the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defense Forces, President Robert Mugabe launching the US$10 million Community Share Ownership Trust in Mhondoro-Ngezi.
Cde Masimirebwa also said his foundation is engaging Lafarge Private Limited in a move that seeks to ensure that Mabvuku-Tafara residents get a slice of the cake from the cement manufacturing giant in line with the indigenisation and economic empowerment drive.
Zanu PF Youths from Mabvuku-Tafara received assorted sporting equipment from the foundation.
