Four trainers namely: Kirk Swanson, Lisa Harris, Alyson Wright and Gokhan Terzi have declared their horses to take part in the Bloodstock South Africa 2000, which is the feature race at Borrowdale race course this weekend.

Kirk Swanson brings out Madigan, Wildcat Brooke and Satisfaction.

Of the three runners all eyes will however be on Madigan, a top class performer that’s bidding for a fourth successive win.

The 3-year old gelding which is widely regarded as a potential Triple Crown winner will be ridden by Quinton Riddle.

On the other hand Satisfaction can not be fancied on account of its poor form in recent races while Wildcat Brooke should be in the shake up.

Lisa Harris will be hoping that Candyman Can, JJ Cale and Atlantic Star will contest to the finishing post in an endeavour to bring glory to her stable.

While Candyman Can will be expected to be in the thick of action, JJ Cale and Atlantic Star have a lot to do in their quest to win the race.
Gokhan Terzi will pin his hopes on Woodford Express and Thatwasblazing.

Apachi Rush from Alyson Wright’s stable completes the line up of nine runners to contest the feature race.

The 3-year old colt has taken part in two races to date and is still without a win and that trend looks set to continue.

The Bloodstock South Africa 2000 – a grade three race to be run over 2000 metres at Borrowdale race course this Sunday is open to all three year old runners and is the second leg of the triple crown.
