Zimbabwe’s representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup, Ngezi Platinum Stars are confident of overturning 2-1 defeat at the hands of Club Recreativo Esportive do Libolo of Angola in their return match at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The morale is high in the Mhondoro Ngezi side nicknamed  ‘Madamburo’ ahead of Saturday’s crucial encounter.

Ngezi Platinum Stars coach, Tonderai Ndiraya said he is confident and banking on home support and the away goal scored in Angola.

“The goal we scored in Angola is giving us confidence and we will employ a different approach to the game in the return leg,” he said.

Defender, Byron Madzokore will be absent for at least another two weeks through injury, while striker Kelvin Bulaji could pass a late fitness test.

The team is not leaving anything to chance as they began their training sessions at the match venue, the National Sports Stadium.

The Angolan side arrived in the country on Wednesday evening but declined to speak to the media after turning down an offer to train at the Hellenics Sports Club on Thursday.
